Hoo hoo

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I spent a fair amount of it preparing for my trip to Europe. Details to come Wednesday. I’ve got a couple surprises up my sleeve, too!

I’ve been waiting for the weather to warm up so I could wear this skirt. This lightweight number isn’t just any ordinary skirt, it was made for me by a very special person, fellow blogger Yvonne of Fashion Recon. This was her way of thanking me for helping her out with her banner. She took my measurements and made this for me. That’s the kind of good karma I like, it was certainly a gift worth waiting for. This woman has a heart of gold and a knock-out style to boot!

I love the detail of the ruffle at the bottom, the colors worked so well with this top I picked up last summer. I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to wear out, I really wanted to create an outfit that spoke of spring days and warm breezes.

{ style tip: }

I’m not very tall. Well, that’s an understatement. At 5’4″, I’m not incredibly short either, however, I have to pay attention to proportions. When wearing a dress or skirt that ends near my knees, I balance out the proportions with a platform or slight heel. I love wearing flats but they work better on mini skirts and dresses for me. Often, it’s not that we can’t wear at item, we just need to reconsider how we’re choosing to wear it in order to maintain balance and proportion.

Blue skirt/Gifted, tiered floral top/Nordstrom’s, aqua cashmere cardigan/Bloomingdale’s, platform sandas/Urban Outfitters, steampunk owl necklace/gifted.

    Women that are pregnant shouldn’t use these genital warts remedies because the strong chemical substances they contain could have adverse influences on the fetus.
