Branch and skull earrings from farfetch.com

Last month I found out about a new online retailer, farfetch.com. My curiosity was piqued, I’m always on the lookout for new ways to blow, I mean, consciously, spend my discretionary allowance on accessories and the like. In a perfect world I would be supporting independent designers and boutiques with every purchase on unique pieces within my price range. As it turns out, it’s not that hard to do it with farfetch.com.

They curate the best that independent boutiques have to offer with over 1,000 high-end and budding designers and brands. I just couldn’t resist, they have so much to choose from in a wide variety of price ranges. Did you see the unique earrings I’ve got on? I’m wearing them with orange plugs, in the future they’ll look better with a darker or metallic silver pair. I couldn’t resist the intricate design and detail of the branch and skull. They delicately add an edge to an otherwise sweet ensemble.

Here are some other favorite pieces of jewellery that they carry, (that ring is definitely on my wish list):

Daily outfit and style tips, wearing green and white dress, ochre elastic belt, gold tights, platform sandals

This is the blogging equivalent of dine-and-dash, it’s more like blog-and-dash. It’s been a busy week since our return. While most of my life is back to normal, I’m still struggling to get all the loose ends tied, blogging and regular exercise being the two primary things of importance that are crying out for my attention.

It was Fil’s birthday yesterday.

I’m using that as my excuse this week. We had a lovely dinner at his favorite restaurant in San Francisco, Prospect, followed by a cocktail at Bourbon and Branch. Then we called it a night, it was only Tuesday after all.

I went from demure to 80′s rocker chick for the occasion. I couldn’t help but pose next to the first layer of new curtains I put up right in front of the wall I painted last weekend. Nesting ahoy! Also, it was raining outside. Not just drizzling or misting, pouring rain!

See you later!
