|Oh HyperOptics, I love you.|
|Just keeping my neck warm|
… Where’d you get those peepers? Ah, yes, the ol’ Siouxsie and The Banshees reference.*
Did you see? Did you see? I’m wearing my new glasses! I never, ever wear glasses out. The fact is I haven’t been satisfied with a pair from a functional, aesthetic or comfort standpoint in years. But these babies got me all charged up. I have high hopes. In fact, I’m still wearing them now. They’re that comfortable.
You know what else? I’m wearing an infinity scarf I knitted. My true pride and joy of the moment because what you see here folks is a prime example of an aspiring knitter who just graduated from one to two stitches as of last weekend. Hence the visibly different rows. It only took a bunch of tries then I read the basic knitting manual I bought and got it sorted out.
So here’s the deal. I’ve noticed my followers are growing. Slow and steady yet quite exciting, I must say. When I reach the magic number of fifty I’m going to have my first give-away. I’m not actually encouraging people to follow me just because, it’s not my style. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not shooing anyone away, I’m just making an announcement to you lovelies who already do follow.
I will knit with my very own two hands an identical infinity scarf and give it away. When I hit fifty, I’ll get one of those randomizer mystery thingies and figure it out, all you’ll have to do is enter. That’s it. I get to practice knitting and you get rewarded for hanging out.
If I don’t end up posting tomorrow night it will be because I’m meeting the coolest Floridian I know of, the lovely miss Mackenzie of Whatever, Gatsby. We’re going to catch a show in San Francisco. I’m very excited about meeting a super awesome chica who also happens to be another blogger. If you haven’t already discovered her, go. Really, go.
Speaking of scarves and give-aways, here’s one that happening right now. Check out A Working Mom’s Closet for details on how to enter. These scarves are so cool that I’m putting one on my wish list for when the shopping ban ends at the end of the 30 for 30.
* Old enough to quote Siouxsie is enough of a clue why those bad boys have progressive lenses. Which TOTALLY rock, by the way. I can see far away. I can see close up. Far away. Close up. Far. Close.
